I spend much time foraging for treasures amongst tumbles of seaweed along the Scottish shoreline. Seaweeds are immensely variable, complex structures, found in arrays of colours and textures. My seaweed works echo the ocean habitats of the species I preserve, through the relationship between woven fibres and these sea jewels.
Wall Panels
A varied range of materials, textures, and layers are used in the panels. The works invite viewers to explore their surface structure, the interplay of light and shadow across the works constantly bringing change, and new perspectives.
