I spend time foraging for treasures amongst tumbles of seaweed along the Scottish shoreline. Seaweed comes in an immensely variable array of complex structures, colours and textures. I research the ocean habitats of the species I have preserved, the seaweed works echo something of the multi-faceted underwater worlds in which these jewels exist before being washed onto the beaches.
