​The installation ‘Mururation’ comprises four hand woven works which interpret the amazing spectacle of starling murmuration’s. Work one echo’s the flock’s swooning orchestration of air born acrobatics, the ephemerality, grace and beauty of the starlings collective movement. Works two and three track the birds funnelling and dropping into the roost, evoking the intensity of the mass and raucousness of the birds jostling for safe position,followed by stillness. Work four represents the birds leaving their roost few by few at dawn to join the vast space and freedom of the sky.
