I spend much time foraging for treasures amongst tumbles of seaweed along the Scottish shoreline. Seaweeds are immensely variable, complex structures, found in arrays of colours and textures. My seaweed works echo the ocean habitats of the species I preserve, through the relationship between woven fibres and these sea jewels.

‘Pods’ are based on Fritillaria meleagris shade loving flowers. Their heads hang downwards offering safe space for the insects, particularly bees, to enjoy their rich pollen.
