I spend much time foraging for treasures amongst tumbles of seaweed along the Scottish shoreline. Seaweeds are immensely variable, complex structures, found in arrays of colours and textures. My seaweed works echo the ocean habitats of the species I preserve, through the relationship between woven fibres and these sea jewels.
Collect Open 2019

I am very, very excited to announce that I will be exhibiting at Collect Open 2019 at the Saatchi Gallery. I am now in the process of making four new hand woven sculptural pieces which will collectively become the installation ‘Murmuration’. This large scale installation is an experimental response to capturing the essence of the mesmerising, yet fleeting experience of witnessing starling murmurations. The new works will allow me to engage in a strong narrative and have become a visual metaphor for a change in personal and emotional well-being, alongside challenging the boundaries of my practice both conceptually and technically.
The exhibition will run from the 28th February - 3rd March. For more information please visit:
